DON’T SCHEDULE A WAXING APPOINTMENT WHEN YOU HAVE YOUR PERIOD.

Did you know that a woman is more sensitive to pain around her period? Don’t do it to yourself! Always check your cycle before you schedule an appointment, and avoid waxing from three days before to three days after your period.

LET IT GROW

Let your hair grow to one-quarter of an inch before waxing, and don’t be afraid to ask for a trim if needed

EXFOLIATE THE DAY BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT.

Give yourself a scrub! Exfoliating gets rid of dead skin cells, making it easier and faster for the wax to grasp those tiny hair.

POP A PAIN PILL.

Why not? Lycon is definitely a better pain free wax, but if you’re still a little nervous, take an over-thecounter pain reliever about an hour before your appointment.

AVOID ANYTHING THAT MAKES YOU BLOAT.

Who knew but culprits like caffeine, alcohol and salt can make your skin feel extra sensitive! Try and avoid these, or limit them on the day of your waxing appointment.

SKIP THE WORK-OUT

Like caffeine and alcohol, exercise induces the circulation of the blood, which will make your waxing appointment more painful! A legit excuse to skip the gym!
